Frog Flap Tail Musky Lure – Hand-Carved Cedar
This Frog Flap Tail Musky lure is hand-carved from a solid block of Western Red Cedar, chosen for its natural buoyancy, vibration transmission, and durability in big water.
The body starts as a 2" x 2" blank, 5.5 inches long, then is carved into a wide-shouldered frog profile that pushes water hard on the retrieve. Cedar keeps the lure riding high, giving it a true topwater or wake-style presence depending on speed.
Out the back, the lure features dual .22 shell casings, acting as both a clicker and a resonance chamber. A rear flap-tail blade strikes the shells on each rotation, producing a sharp metallic click-clack that muskies can hear and feel from distance—especially effective in stained water, low light, or pressured systems.
The entire lure is sealed and protected with four coats of epoxy, locking in strength, impact resistance, and long-term durability against teeth, rocks, and repeated strikes.
This bait is built to:
-
Call fish from far away
-
Trigger reaction strikes
-
Hold up to real musky abuse
No mass production. No shortcuts. Just loud, floating, frog-profile chaos.
